In homeschool news I am happy to report that we've been doing school work. I am totally loving our new curriculum. Totally! The kids love it too. We are chugging right along, I couldn't be more thrilled.
We got Em a new bike finally.
See how happy!

Notice that she is wearing a tank top. That's because it's 95 degrees out. (But not to worry it's a humid heat so. . .) I've been wearing a lot of tank tops too, and it made me realize my arms are nakey. Maybe it's the abrupt change from long sleeves to no sleeves because evidently Mi gave up having that season called spring. Or at least a day or two of spring like temps (short sleeve weather) where you could do more then dash to your car in the pouring rain. Anyway, back to my naked arms. They really are in need of some ink. So I'm on a mission to decide what art I want permanently embedded into my skin.
I've altered my diet to include more meat, NO soy, less wheat, and as little dairy or processed food as possible. My headaches are a ton better. I'm sort of sad because I had high hopes of being a full fledged vegan one day. However I feel a lot better, can't really argue with that.
I've noticed that not a lot of homeschooling mom's blog about the man of the house. I thought I might talk a little bit about my hubby. Shake things up. Plus he's been working on a project that despite the fact that it's very dorky I'm kinda proud of him (the project is dorky not being proud) so I have something he's doing that I can talk about. Beyond being the provider of our families three most basic needs food/water, shelter, and love, J will occasionally do some chores around here. However the majority of his free time is spent playing World of Warcraft. Yes yes I'm married to a man who sits in the basement, playing a video game and talking to other dorks I mean people over the internet that are playing the game with him. And to make matters worse, I've been known to play too. Hey if you can't beat 'em join 'em. This hobby has branched out to another hobby of building a "super cool" computer. At first it was, I'm going to buy different better parts and replace piece by piece my computer. One of those pieces being a totally new case that has super cooling abilities. And a fancy blue light. Then he decided he would build a new case. Something cool like This. I must say I'm glad he decided against that. Now he's working on building a pyramid shaped case, based on a Sith Holocron. He's made a mock up and tested the air flow out with cardboard. Here are some pics.
The first one he made was too small so it was given to the kids which was very convenient since we've been studying Egypt. I think at the moment however it's a stable for the plastic horses. He's got some plexi for the walls, and he's going to make metal pieces for the edges. I can't wait to see the end product.
